The short answer is NO. Chiropractors have different approaches to care based on their philosophy and training. Some practice more of a physical therapy based model of care, while others, like Dr. Berglund, practice a more traditional, time-tested, hands-on chiropractic approach to healing. 

There are many factors that can affect the healing process such as how long you have had your problem, the severity of your condition, keeping your appointments, and following through with home care recommendations? Many patients experience pain relieve after their first visit. Most patients experience enough progress within a short period of time to justify completing our recommendations. 

We accept most insurances including Anthem BC/BS, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, Medicare and others. Chiropractors do not prescribe or dispense drugs of any kind. It is important to remember that muscle relaxers and pain medications do not correct the underlying cause of your problem (what is actually causing the muscle to spasm or the pain to occur) but rather mask the symptom - often allowing you to further injure yourself as you have covered-up your body's warning system. In addition, virtually every drug produces side effects which can include stomach problems, kidney failure, liver damage, addiction and even death. Chiropractors focus on the cause your pain and health problem, and work to correct it – helping your body recover quickly and naturally. 

Yes! We have patients under care who have just found out they are pregnant all the way through patients who are about to deliver. Our pregnant patients love our specially designed treatment tables which allow you to lay face down right through your ninth month of pregnancy! Chiropractic care is safe for you and your baby, and can help you achieve a healthier pregnancy and delivery. The safety, effectiveness and health benefits of chiropractic care for pregnant women have been demonstrated in numerous clinical studies. In one study conducted by a member of the American Medical Association board of trustees, Irvin Henderson, M.D., it was shown that women who received chiropractic adjustments in their third trimester of pregnancy were able to carry and deliver children with more comfort. In a hospital study conducted by the well-respected orthopedist Per Freitag, M.D.,  which incorporated chiropractic adjustments during the patient’s pregnancy, it was revealed that the need for painkillers during delivery was reduced by half!
