Chiropractic Pain Relief Care
If a nerve is being “pinched”, we can gently move the vertebrae off the nerve with chiropractic adjustments which often gives immediate relief. If muscles are in spasm, our massage therapist can work out some of the tightness using soft tissue muscle therapy techniques to help reduce your pain. And naturally, recommendations will be given (ice/heat, stretches, exercises, etc.) for you to perform at home between visits to help as well.
Once you are out of pain and feeling better, we will be given the opportunity to continue care and make a more permanent correction of your problem so as not to relapse back into pain. At this point in your care you will have reached the “fork in the road”. One choice is to stop care and allow the underlying cause of your pain to return over time. Vertebrae may pull back out of alignment and muscles go back into spasm, and it is possible your symptoms will return.
Your other choice is to continue on to the next phase of your treatment program – Phase 2- Corrective Care. It is during this phase of care that correction of the cause of your problem is obtained. We will recommend what we feel to be the best course of care for your health condition, but we will also respect your wishes for how long you choose to benefit from our services.
