Chiropractic Maintenance Care

The third phase of care is referred to as “maintenance care”, and is intended for patients who wish to maintain the correction of their spinal alignment and continue to feel great with regular chiropractic and wellness care. After undergoing a series of visits to correct your spinal alignment, it is important to maintain that correction with routine spinal adjustments. Just as it is recommended for someone who wore braces to continue wearing a retainer to keep their teeth from pulling back out of alignment, chiropractors will recommend patients receive periodic spinal adjustments to keep their spine in proper alignment and maintain their correction.

For many, periodic chiropractic maintenance adjustments are the equivalent of continuing to eat well and exercise after they’ve lost weight or as part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Just as we change the oil on our car and give it periodic tune-ups to prevent problems, chiropractic “tune-ups” help prevent injuries and spinal degeneration while keeping you feeling great as you benefit from a nervous system free from unwanted pressure.

Like anything else of great value, health is an investment. How long you decide to benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you. Jim Rohn, a well known and respected personal development coach, once said “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments”.

If your goal is to be truly healthy and to maintain that health, then there are disciplines that will be required of you. It is easier to stay well than to get well, so we encourage our patients to make exercising, eating well, and getting regular adjustments to maintain the health of their spine and nervous system, part of their routine health disciplines.
